This May my family is going Walt Disney World and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure. I'm 100% excited and can't wait till May but my sister isn't. Whenever I mention it she's like, "Oh, shut up." (Jokingly). And I asked her if she's excited and she's like, "...I'm excited. Just not as much as you." WHAT KID ISN'T EXCITED TO GO TO WALT DISNEY WORLD AND UNIVERSAL? I want her to enjoy herself there or else I'll feel bad and I won't have a good time. How can I get to be excited? I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan and there's no way I'm not going:) How can I get her excited? Thanks!

It's going to be fine. When she goes to Walt Disney World she will open her mouth wide with excitement. Sometimes people get excited when they actually go or do it. You are so lucky that you get to go! It's really fun!!!

I would let her know how amazingly awesome Disney and Universal is (I have never gone to Universal...only Disney)! Here's a few ideas to show her :)

1. Go online to waltdisneyworld.com and look up the attractions and hotel you are going to (if you are staying at a WDW hotel). They give little mini tour of the lobbies, and there are amazing descriptions of the attractions, entertainment, restaurants, and hotels.

2. allears.net will also give you some great reviews of rides, menus, everything WDW!

3. Go to youtube.com and they give POV (point of view) of all the rides. You can also get they parades, Fantasmic!, and Dream Along with Mickey in HD with amazing views for little sneak peaks. Youtube will also give you videos of pretty much everything from restaurants to hotel tours.

4. Get a Guide Book...I have the Ultimate Book and my daughter has the Kids book. Great descriptions and pictures, always a good way to get into the Disney Mood.

Just a few ideas...I am sorry but I have never gone to Universal so I have no specific answers! Sorry!

Hope this helped! Enjoy your vacation! :)

I personally probably wouldn't bother trying to get her excited. If you keep pestering her to get excited and she doesn't it might put a damper on your own excitement. Just keep on being excited yourself. I don't know how old your sister is, but she might be at that stage where it seems "uncool" to be excited about such things. Or maybe she really is excited, just not as outgoing about it as you. I am sure that once you guys get there she will be really excited and that you'll both have a lot of fun. There are a couple of people in my family who seemingly refuse to be excited about our Disney World trips, even though they look forward to going, because they say it just doesn't seem that exciting until they're actually there. They always get into the spirit once we get to Disney World.

Hello, Harry Potter, I too love that, watched all 7 movies right when it came out, wands out... wingodian leviosa... you gotta lift up your sisters mood.. lol, how about tell her something that she's in the mood of like Mickey mouse Minni mouse, or the beautiful tour in a small car driving around in a small world singing, it's a small world.... there are so many things there to enjoy, or you can tell her that the air is full of adventure, you literally can smell it....

Best of luck

Is Psychological Warfare in your book of spells?

Use some conditioning spells... Make her very angry in March then let up for the last week of March, the average human brain after being upset has to come back to a state of normalacy and after duress, usually happiness and excitement are the most common forms of coping with duress.

I'm just pure evil.

Watch the movies with her if she hasn't seen them. Show her youtube videos and pictures of stuff you guys will be seeing & doing. Or find something she loves and make a little extra trip. For example bring her to bush gardens or a wax museam or something that interests her! Also go shopping for vacation clothes - that always gets me excited! The thought of wearing new clothes :)

The way I get myself psyched out before going to Disney is watching the movies.

Movies we grew up with, right?

And I love reading trivia and planning new things to find and learning new facts.

Kind of makes me want to pick and go now :D

Remind her of the benefits of taking such a vacation. If she likes going out to eat, remind her that you all may visit many restaurants (depending on how long you're staying). Also, consider that she may be extremely excited but doesn't want to show it.

Hon, calm down. I'm sure she is excited, just doesn't show it.

Chances are, once she's there, she'll be excited. Just give her time.

If she were HP fan it would be easier
