What parks are good to go to in orlando if we cant go on many rides. ?

We are gonna have a 4 month old. So rides are pretty much out but we want to walk around & do other stuff. We were thinkin Sea World. We also have 7 yr old & 3 yr old. We never been to any of these parks so just wondering. We want to see shows, shop & go to good restaurants. Also rides for our little kids.

SeaWorld, Epcot & Disney Hollywood Studios all have lots of shows and activities for the entire family.



FYI - We went to Magic Kingdom & took our 4 month old on all the rides in Fantasyland & she was fine, so there is more for you to do that you think.

Any Disney Park is going to work for you! They have a Ride Switch program that allows one person to stay with the baby while everyone else goes on the ride. When the group gets back, the person who stayed with the baby shows the worker their "Ride Switch Ticket" and they get to get right on the ride. That way everyone gets to enjoy the rides.



Disney has what's called theme rides, so many rides allow infants to be held. My family went 3 years ago while my nephew was only six months old. We were able to take him on alot of the rides we went on. I'll name JUST A FEW of the rides at each of the four Disney Parks that your WHOLE family will be able to ride together.

Magic Kingdom:

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

It's a Small World

Peter Pan's Flight



Hollywood Studios:

Playhouse Disney Live Show (not a ride, but the kids will love)

The Great Movie Ride



EPCOT:

Spaceship Earth (the big ball)

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Journey Into Imagination with Figment



Animal Kingdom:

Kilimanjaro Safaris (can be bumpy, so smaller children are supposed to sit in the middle of adults)

Finding Nemo Musical & Festival of the Lion (ok, these aren't rides, but they are MUST dos)



These are just a few of the rides you can take the 4 mo. old on, but there are so many rides that your other children will absolutely LOVE!



Also, there are parades and/or fireworks at each of the parks.

I have a season pass to Sea world and that would be fun. They do have Shamu's Happy Harbor which has child rides and even a little water park type place for the kiddos to cool off. They have several shows going on right Now, Theres Shamu's "Believe" which is your standard Shamu show. They also Have "Blue Horizons" Which is the dolphin show, that is pretty cool. My favorite show that they have right now is Definitely "Odysea" it's a cirque soleil type of show, it's wonderful! For the kids they have a pet tricks show, I've never been to that one. They also have "Clyde and Seamore take pirate island" Which is the sealion and otter show. During the summer they have an Elmo and Abby Cadaby show in the same pavilion as the pet show which was fun but it only showed a few times a day so they could also do the pet show later in the day. They also have several night shows I've only seen "Shamu Rocks" which is shamu doing tricks to very loud rock music. I didn't enjoy it because it ws so loud you couldn't really distinguish some songs from others. With a 16 month old they day dosen't usually make it that late for those shows for us. We enjoy our seaworld pass!

Laura: there's a lot more to do than you think you can, especially if at times you are willing to get a babysitter for the 4 month old, and to split up--one parent with the baby, the other with tthe oilder kids.

(Note: I agree with those who say stay home and save your money, but ONLY if this is gonna be the ONLY trip you ever take to WDW. If you are able to go again before the 7 year old gets too old--the next 2 or three years--you can still have a great time and do what you missed later)

surprisingly many of the rides at Disney are designed so you can take lap infants on them, yes there are rides you wont be able to go on but ive taken my kids when they were little and all of us were able to enjoy quite a bit together, especially Magic Kingdom. Sea world has only a few rides, most of which are for big kids but there are so many shows you will have a full day. Only the Universal parks would be a waste becasue of the kids ages. Go and have fun and take lots of pics

I have been to Disney with an infant and I was so surprised at how many rides he could ride! Disney has tons of rides that are designed so an infant can ride in your lap. Also, they have a great Child Swap program that will allow the older kids to ride with one adult and then ride again with the other adult! Disney is designed for families, and they really have thought all of this through very well.



I would recommend using a service called Custom Mouse Plans. They specialize in creating custom itineraries and touring plans for families visiting Walt Disney World. Each plan is designed just for your family, so they will be able to create a great plan that includes your baby, but also has fun stuff for your older kids. I think your family would really benefit from their expertise.

Take a day and go to Cypress Gardens Adventure Park, less than an hour S.W. of Disney in Winter Haven. Much tamer park rides, water park, beautiful gardens. great shows...Florida's oldest theme park! Much lower admission price, too!

If you can - cancel and go at a later date. It is not fair to your children to take them and not go on rides. In addition, the 3 yr old will need to nap. It cost a lot of money to go to the park - what a waste.



However, you can go on some of the rides that are not roller coaster or fast. Plus someone can stay with the baby while a parent rides with the kids.

In disney world there is a park called Epcot. It is based on many major countries. It is one of my favorite there are low rides but they are good. but mostly you taste forod from around the world and suff like that.
