Which is better: Wet'n'Wild at Universal Orlando or Typhoon Lagoon/Blizzard Beach at Disney?

I've noticed that the price for 4 people at Wet'n'Wild is drastically lower than that at Disney with 2 parks.
Which has better rides/experiences? Atmosphere?

There is no doubt about it that Typhoon Lagoon/Blizzard Beach are worlds ahead of Wet'n'Wild. Wet'n'Wild is a concrete jungle. No atmosphere, they sell no food, the rides are ok but the lazy river is about as long as a walk around my house. Both of the Disney parks are just fabulous. Blizzard Beach is aimed more for younger kids and Typhoon Lagoon is more for adults. The atmosphere at both are great and the rivers take you all the way around the parks. When you start out in either river it takes you at least 10 minutes to get back to where you started. At Typhoon Lagoon you can even swim with sharks...no extra cost. Blizzard Beach has this sloppy sundae you can buy that is huge. It comes in a sand bucket and can feed about 8 people. Typhoon Lagoon has a typhoon pool (not really for little kids) while Blizzard Beaches pool has small waves more suited for kids. Both Disney parks are great for adults but Blizzard Beach more for kids. Hope you have fun. ;)

The price is lower because the standards are much lower. Wet N Wild is a concrete slab with pools and slides, right in the middle of the tourist district, and overrun with unsupervised local kids.



Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are both very well themed, have superior slides and pools, and are much better maintained. Blizzard Beach has the steepest and fastest speed slide in the nation, at 60mph, and Typhoon Lagoon has the best wave pool ever - the waves are huge. So huge, in fact, that they used to offer surfing classes there before the park opened.



The Disney parks offer an overall better experience and atmosphere. You will have a much, much better time at either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach than at Wet N Wild.

Dont go to wet n wild! I have an annual pass to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach and i go quite often. My boyfriend and I enjoy Blizzard Beach because its more for the adventurous couple. If you guys are competetive and are up for some slides, Blizzard Beach is the way to go. Now if you're not so into slides and slopes Typhoon Lagoon has a wicked wavepool and the snorkeling(free) is also an experience.. Typhoon Lagoons newest attraction though and its most enjoyable ride is Crush n Gusher, it's like a water roller coaster. Also if you're staying at a Disney hotel try usin your extra magic hours because before and after typhoon lagoon open they lat you surf in the wave pool (dont forget your board!)

The disney one is loads better. WetnWild feels cheap and you're in the blazing sun all day.



Personal Favorite, Typhoon Lagoon. It wins in rides, experience and lines. Blizzard beach is kind of boring, but it still edges out Wetn'Wild a bit.

@ below. Wet N' Wild is FULL of screaming kids and mile long lines in the sun. It's surrounded by chain link fence and traffic and has less than 10 trees.



Blizz beach really has a stupid gimmick, the whole "winter" thing comes across as pretty dumb. Typhoon lagoon has a nice tropical look and lots of shade on the lines. It also has better food and the best wave pool i've ever seen.

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach are both MUCH BETTER then Wet n' Wild.



Wet n' Wild is not located in Universal Orlando. Its a seperate property squeezed along a busy stretch of International Drive. And as mentioned before, it is over-crowded, not as clean as the Disney parks, and there is very little shade.

Blizzard Beach is my all time favorite water park in the world, and I have been to a lot!



The atmosphere is awesome, you feel like your in a new place and far away from your real life. Its the perfect place for adults to relax and enjoy the water and also a great place for kids to splash around. They have some unique slides and "rides" that you wouldn't find in a regular water park.



Typhoon Lagoon is also amazing. It has a great theme and their wave pool is great. Although I like blizzard beach more, I think that they both beat Wet 'n Wild!

Wet'n Wild provides the better atmosphere than the blizz beach at Disney. I love Disney, however, when it comes to theme parks and enjoyment and less crowdyness of families and their lil kids crying and running around and annoying you, Wet n wild takes the cake. Its Universal my friend, Wet n Wild is the best.

Wet n Wild has nothing to do with Universal other than close proximity. its kind of cheesy. Typhoon Lagoon is my fav. there are a lot of places to swim, sit, shade.
